At the end of July 2013 I headed down to Esbjerg, Denmark, to catch the ferry to Harwich, UK, for the last time as the route would be abandoned.
Took about 1.700 photos.
Finally heading South (10th) to Aviemore and some trainspotting in Boat of Garten, and on to Dalraddy.
Further South (12th) to Pitlochry and Highland Games, and then (14th) on to Nydie outside Strathkinness, Fife, to visit aunt and uncle.
Daytrip (15th) to Newtyle to visit Granny's grave and her parent's graves. Stopped of in Newport to view Tay Bridge.
Daytrip (16th) to Lochleven Castle, and tea at garden centre.
Daytrip (17th) to St. Andrews.
Family gathering (18th) was had in Dunblane.
Daytrip (19th) to Inshcolm Abbey, sailing under Forth Bridge, and Hopetoun House for tea in the stables.
Heading homewards (20th), I stopped of in Aberlady to have a look at North Berwick, enjoying views of Bass Rock, Berwick Law and Tantallon Castle (with Bass Rock and Isle of May behind).
Also visited (21st) Dunbar (and North Berwick again) and Prestonpans, with mining museum.
Heading South again (22nd ) I stopped of in Durham to view town and and a closer look at Angel of the North, also visiting Washington.
Found a spot in Pentney (23rd & 24th) to visit Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sheringham and North coast of Norfolk (skipping a busy Norwich).
Last two nights (25th & 26th) spent in Dovercourt viewing Dovercourt Fort and lighthouses and Harwich and coast on foot before leaving for Esbjerg (27th).
